Alecia co-stars as Marie opposite Isabella Rossellini’s Simca Beck in the HBO Max series, Julia, created by Daniel Goldfarb (The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel) and directed by Charles McDougall (Desperate Housewives, Queer as Folk, Sex and the City).
In May 2023, Alecia returned to a sold-out Wilbur Theatre in Boston with New York Times bestselling authors Casey Sherman and Dave Wedge as they brought their podcast-style adaption of true-crime thriller Hunting Whitey to the stage under the direction of Ian Barrett. Alecia plays the United States attorney bringing charges against notorious mob boss James “Whitey” Bulger, played by Neal McDonough (Yellowstone, Project Blue Book, Captain America).
In April 2022, Alecia played New Hampshire Attorney General Kelly Ayotte in Saints, Sinners, & Serial Killers, when New York Times bestselling authors Casey Sherman and Dave Wedge brought their highly acclaimed, true crime podcast of the same name to the stage for the first time at Boston’s Wilbur Theatre. Stage direction by Ian Barrett.
In film, Alecia appeared most recently in Apple Original Films’ Spirited (Sean Anders). Other selected film includes: Walt Disney Pictures’ Disney+ release Godmothered (Sharon Maguire); OSCAR® nominee American Hustle (David O. Russell); AFI Award-winner Moonrise Kingdom (Wes Anderson); Jupiter Award-winner TED (Seth MacFarlane); and The Finest Hours (Craig Gillespie).
Prior to the delicious beginnings of a film and television career—thanks to a commercial for Hood ice cream—you may have interacted with Alecia as an atmosphere character for Walt Disney World Entertainment at Walt Disney World Resort, where she embodied a wide range of personalities.
While expanding her commercial roster with clients such as Krispy Kreme, Stop & Shop, McDonald’s and Vistaprint, she was cast as the Scuba Bride in feature film 27 Dresses, starring Katherine Heigl (Grey’s Anatomy, Knocked Up) and James Marsden (X-Men, Enchanted). Soon thereafter, Alecia portrayed a story-hungry TV news reporter in award-winning, experimental sci-fi indie feature Circuit (Anthony Landauro).
Alecia stars as Hennessy Greybriar in crime thriller Interference, which entered the festival circuit at the 16th Roxbury International Film Festival, screening at Boston’s Museum of Fine Arts. She plays vindictive friend Ellen in dramatic short Time Heals All Wounds, and serves up insolent customer service in the comic Eyestar web series, produced by award-winning director Kevin Anderton (The Good Son). In thriller Frank the Bastard, starring Rachel Miner (Guiding Light, Supernatural) and Chris Sarandon (The Princess Bride, The Nightmare Before Christmas), Alecia appears as the Girl in the Viking Hat.
For television, Alecia is clueless-yet-loveable teacher Jenn Randall in indie sitcom pilot The Six Fifty-Seven and was a featured legal aide in the dramatic Warner Bros. TV episodic Waterfront, directed by Richard J. Lewis (Westworld, Person of Interest). Other selected TV includes Gilded Lilys (ABC), executive produced by Shonda Rhimes (Grey’s Anatomy, Bridgerton).
As the 2017 recipient of the Shawna E. Shea Memorial Foundation’s Women in Film Fellowship, Alecia wrote, produced and stars in the looped video installation, re|cord. She served as assistant director on Fate Scores (Winner, 2009 Vancouver Asian Film Festival; Official Selection of Sedona International Film Festival), which was written, directed, and produced by Albert M. Chan (Law & Order: SVU, Ghosts of Girlfriends Past).
