John Alden Carpenter: Complete Ballets
Alecia joins the Boston Modern Orchestra Project ensemble in this 2024 release showcasing all three of John Alden Carpenter’s ballets in their complete and original forms. This premiere recording on the GRAMMY®-winning BMOP/sound label includes Krazy Kat, The Birthday of the Infanta, and Skyscrapers, which is perhaps the best known of the works. It premiered at the Metropolitan Opera in 1926.
Alecia joins the Odyssey Opera ensemble in this 2023 world premiere recording released on the BMOP/sound label. Recorded at WGBH’s Fraser Performance Studio after the opera’s East Coast premiere, Awakenings, by composer Tobias Picker, tells the bittersweet story of Dr. Oliver Sacks’s attempts to treat institutionalized survivors of the early 20th Century encephalitis lethargica epidemic.

Camille Saint-Saëns: Henry VIII

Charles Gounod: La reine de Saba
Released in 2021 on Odyssey Opera’s house label, this recording captures the United States premiere of La reine de Saba (The Queen of Sheba), a forgotten 1862 masterpiece by Charles Gounod inspired by Gérard de Nerval’s book Le voyage en Orient, and includes nearly an hour of recovered music never before recorded.
Norman Dello Joio: The Trial at Rouen
This 2021 GRAMMY®-nominated release on the BMOP/sound label is the first commercial recording of Pulitzer Prize-winner Norman Dello Joio’s The Trial at Rouen, which was commissioned for and premiered on NBC Television Opera Theatre in April 1956. The collaboration between Boston Modern Orchestra Project and Odyssey Opera at historic Jordan Hall on this premiere includes the opera’s first performance before a live audience.
